Let’s start off with why I’m writing this.
I saw a good friend of mine post a status: “Is Jay Z a free mason? Does he worship the devil?”.
Fine- no problem with that, simply trying to gain the consensus on this forever publicized controversial aspect of the man. It was the people commenting making ridiculous assumptions that got to me.
- One issue (but not the main): Everyone famous or wealthy has this “free mason”/”Illuminati” term thrown at them- its become almost fashionable and for some reason EVERYONE is an expert on the matter. Furthermore apparently- free masons worship the ‘Devil’ (or whatever your religion depicts this entity as). The other day I saw UK rapper, Tinchy Stryder, also painted with this brush with the typical barrage of YouTube videos analysing signs of ‘Devilry’ - I mean seriously, the kid is from slums in East London and attended a CATHOLIC school no doubt influenced by a CATHOLIC upbringing- where is the feasibility in this? (I’m going to cover this free mason BS in another article)
Foremost, I’m not denying the existence of this so called ‘cult’ or ‘religion’. Evidence would suggest that it does exist and is indeed active though its scale of activity and motives are questionable. Second of all I’m not saying they don’t worship the devil either- I cannot prove nor disprove this- nobody can.
Google “masons worship the devil” and you will find thousands of articles evidencing the fact that they do in fact engage in this worship. HOWEVER this is all in light of abrahamic beliefs- a massive flaw (and the core issue I’m trying to get at).
Negate the issue of masonry at hand- this is about religious people deeming anything alien to them as the work of the devil or incorrect/impossible or immoral.
One thing that constantly infuriates me about ALL religions is their inability to perceive anything that may infringe their views as viable or acceptable- this is simply IRRATIONAL.
Don’t get me wrong- I’m a religious man, though fairly casual in my practice and yes I do ‘favour’ my religion (who doesn’t?) but I have NEVER disregarded any belief as impossible or unacceptable. To me, religions are different paths to the same thing: God (or whatever you call this entity) and as such I have nothing but respect for a man that follows his chosen path- it is nothing short of admirable. However what I cannot stand is this absolute unreasonable and irrational dismissal of anything that simply does comply with an individuals religious viewpoint.
One person commented that because Jay Z had in fact renounced god, he was in league with Satan and based this on the teachings of their adopted religion.
Are you serious!? Satan exists because of religion! He is a product of religion. A depiction of an evil force. Furthermore God is the sole reason for religion- surely if you renounce god, you renounce religion? (Though I am a firm believer that you can believe in god - or a concept of it without having any religious affiliation- this is seen as satanic in the eyes of religious nuts).
If you renounce religion- not only are you renouncing god, you are also renouncing Satan and all other associated rituals and beliefs- you effectively become an atheist. Furthermore- Atheists are supposedly in league with Satan- but they don’t believe in ANYTHING, Satan included. Surely they would have to actively worship Satan to be in league or support of him?
JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN’T COMPLY WITH YOUR SCIPTURES/BELIEFS/FAITH DOES NOT DEEM IT INCORRECT/IMMORAL/SATANIC. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF FACTS ABSENT OR INCORRECT IN ALL RELIGIOUS TEXTS (THE ROUNDNESS OF EARTH A PRIME EXAMPLE) - DOES THAT MEAN THEY ARE NOT INFACT TRUE? ON THE FLIPSIDE, DOES THAT DEEM YOUR FAITH INCORRECT??
ABOLUTELY NOT IS THE ANSWER TO BOTH.
Further fueling this is people preaching their religion! What’s up with that!? Why do feel the need to enforce your views on everyone else? Are you that insecure that you feel you have to constantly attempt to prove your religion correct and disprove others? (All religions are guilty of this- despite some stating that preaching is frowned upon).
Bullshit. Live and let live. Each to their own. Be happy with your faith, practice it, if you ultimately believe it to be true, then why attempt to convert everyone!? The world would be better without this. FACT.
Rant over.
